    My Thoughts

When we live our lives with passion we crusade for our hearts,we dare to hope and to dream, without fearing failure; we are inspired with great purpose.
Our thoughts are boundless and our minds open
to embrace a world of limitless possabilities,
hidden talents and abilities awaken in the face
of challenge and excitement; and we discover ourselves to be greater people by far than we ever imagined we could be.

  • My Bio

    Rupert Jackson

I have been practicing different forms of yoga since 2001 and have been sharing these gifts ever since. I found yoga through golf injuries and value highly the precision of alignment and mindful awareness through ones practice.

I was first certified to teach by "Yoga Arts", (Louisa Sear) accredited by yoga alliance, 500 hours and since then have studied with many of the greatest teachers including Tod Norian, Micheal Carroll, Katherine Schaeffer, Seane Corn, Swami Anasakti.

In my classes, I teach a vinyasa flow style but also have been influenced from the Anusara and Vipasana schools. I try to incorporate some meditation and pranayama (breath control) into the practice with the hope that yoga can be accessible to all, whatever level.

Yoga is a way of life and through discipline and dedication the results can be immense, allowing the mind to shift from the chaotic to the restful, as well as incredible emotional and physical well being. The use of vinyasa flow whilst holding poses, combined with skill in alignment and therapeutics, enable students to progress quickly but more importantly, safely, which in turn allows them to deepen their practice, become stronger, more flexible and more present in their everyday life.

With the simple approach to mindful awareness to the breath, our postures go deeper, our prana (energy) flows better and the connection to our true selves begins.

Having recently completed a 300 hour training in yoga therapeutics, the profound effect of healing an individuals needs through removing blockages in the bodily system on an energetic level is paramount. In yoga therapy we work with the individual, designing a specific practice regime, that includes Yogic practices, lifestyle routine and recommendations as a treatment for the healing and prevention of imbalances on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level, in turn creating balance, wholeness and ultimately achieving a state of wellbeing and contentedness.

I have taught in Europe, Canada, India, Kenya and am now based in Thailand

I look forward to meeting you all

    The art of breathing

Prana is our vital life force, pranayama (breath control) is the process by which the internal pranic store is increased and is a technique through which the quantity of prana in the body is activated to a higher frequency.

By practicing pranayama a certain amount of heat or creative force is generated throughout the entire body, influencing the existing quantum of prana. This prana then makes its way up through pingala nadi into ajna chakra, which then monitors the message back to the base of kundalini and the actual awakening of the great prana takes place.

The aim of all yogic and other spiritual practices (sadhana) is to release the great cosmic power or kundalini shakti which lies coiled three and a half times in mooladhara chakra, (store houses of prana/energy). The process of awakening this force, or prana, is described in the scriptures as, "The flight of a bird rising from earth to heaven, tied to a golden thread". The earth is mooladhara chakra (base), heaven is ajna chakra (regulates the endocrine/hormonal system, connecting the pineal gland to the physical body), the bird is mahaprana (the great prana, the cosmic, universal, all-encompassing energy out of which we draw substance through the breathing process) and the golden thread is sushumna nadi which runs through the center of the spinal column. By manipulating, storing and expanding the prana within the body it is possible to awaken the sleeping prana shakti. This is the fundamental purpose of the yogic sciences of pranayama.

Various forms of pranayama have different benefits, some for example specifically enhance assimilation and circulation of oxygen and prana, some focus on rapid expulsion of toxins from lungs and bloodstream, while others sedate or stimulate the system. By practicing a variety of different pranayama’s, the individual realizes the full spectrum of benefits and learns how to use each one for practical applications.

The mind is always the leader of energy. Where mind goes, energy follows.

quote exstacy is our very nature
not to be exstatic is simply unnecessary
to be exstatic is natural, spontaneous.

It needs no effort to be exstatic,
it takes great effort to be miserable
    the choice is yours quote

    My Philosophy

    Wake up,
    Breath,
    Don't think (about yourself),
    Embrace life
    Resulting in Happiness

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

    Thought of the day

    Feel the breath,
    Hear the breath,
    The breath is a goddess,
She wants to dance with you,
    Let her lead,
    Let her be your teacher

    Meditation

All yogic practices work on an energetic level and where self realization is the highest form of healing but not always the easiest as most people seem to avoid the issues in their lives but if they have the courage to embrace and accept the conflicts then that's where the healing starts.

The most fundamental cause of suffering is the mind and therefore the mind is the root cause of most "dis-ease" in my experience.

We try to focus on yoga as it works directly with unveiling the impressions of the mind to reveal the hindrances, that block us, from experiencing our true self.

To treat imbalance, disease or injury there is generally never just one cause. Were complicated people and therefore have to take many facts into consideration. Yoga means "Union" so to create wholeness, balance and a state of wellbeing which is supportive in living a peaceful and contented life,we must treat the whole.
